I have become better acquainted with the ways of this site. I'm still not sure how to put all the fancy things on my profile, but my photographs are available for viewing, and that's enough for now.
I have been familiarising myself with some of the work on this site, focusing particularly on the photography, as that is my passion.
I have come to realise that I don't use photography as it can be used, in a far more expressive way. First of all, I need a new camera, but mostly, I don't plan any of the photos I take, I just take a camera with me almost everywhere, and snap things that happen or that I think are beautiful. Spontaneous is what I shall call my photography for now, but thank-you to all those artists on this site who have inspired me to take more planned photographs.
The possibilties are endless.
Photography isn't just art. It's everything that people care about. Anything can be captured on film, or memory card as the cas may be. When asked the question, "if you're house was on fire, what would you grab first?" most people would answer "the family photos". They are not just memories, both good and bad, they prove existance, they capture moments that we can't quite grasp just how much we would miss when we they are gone and we have nothing to remember them by.
Missed photographs leave a hole in our lives.
